2020 Catalogue for Goods Subject to Import and Export Licensing Takes Effect

As of 1 January 2020, China has updated its list of goods subject to import licensing.
The new list was contained in an announcement issued in accordance with the country’s Foreign Trade Law, Regulation on the Administration of Import and Export of Goods, Regulation on the Administration of Ozone-Depleting Substances, Measures for the Administration of Licences for the Import of Goods, Administrative Measures for the Import of Electromechanical Products, Administrative Measures for the Import of Key Used Mechanical and Electrical Products, and various other laws, administrative rules and regulations.
Full details can be found in the Catalogue of Goods Subject to Import Licence Administration (2020 Edition) (MOFCOM and GAC Announcement No. 65 ), issued jointly by the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs. In the meantime, the 2020 catalogues for goods under automatic licensing administration and goods subject to export licensing also took effect on the same date.
