WHAT: A seminar and workshop on practical ways to maintain access to the United States market despite the current trade tariffs. The speakers are: Arthur Lee, CEO, Hong Kong X’tals Limited – Kolinker Group, which specialises in quartz-crystal electronic components; Winnie Sheh, Principal Trade Officer of the Factory Registration and Origin Certification Branch, Trade and Industry Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, who is responsible for the implementation and review of the Hong Kong Origin Certification System, as well as Rules of Origin-related matters; Danny Yick, Vice President, Contract Manufacturing Service, Computime Ltd; and Jason Ho, Vice President, Electrical and Network Assurance, Intertek, who has 19 years’ experience in the assurance, testing, inspection and certification industry.WHEN: 11 October 2019 (Friday), 3pm-5pmWHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development CouncilWHY: To mitigate the effects of the lingering trade dispute between the US and Mainland China, a number of Hong Kong and mainland companies have decided to optimise their supply chains by adjusting their production priorities. This has enabled them to reduce their exposure to tariffs, while giving them enhanced opportunities to service the domestic market.
