WHAT: The fair is divided into zones for easy sourcing. The Hall of Fame hosts more than 600 acclaimed brand names. In 2018, the Startup Zone featured 110 tech start-ups from both the Electronics Fair and concurrent ICT Expo, taking part in pitching and matchmaking sessions, insightful sharing, networking events and product launches designed to help young entrepreneurs connect with investors, journalists, buyers and manufacturers. The Tech Hall is a fascinating display of electronics and modern lifestyle products with five dedicated zones including Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality, Robotics and Unmanned Tech, Connected Home, e-Health & Wearables and the debuting AI & Voice Recognition zone. Other exhibit categories include 3D Printing, Automotive and In-Vehicle Electronics, Connected Home, Healthcare Electronics, Personal Electronics and many more.

Exhibitors and visitors can switch on their business networks at one-on-one buyers’ meetings, networking events, trend seminars and the Tech Trends Symposium. Exhibitors can attend a press conference, give product demos and launch pads, and attend a media breakfast meeting.The 2018 event drew 2,940 exhibitors, 65,870 visitors and covered an area of 61,300 square metres. Of the 2018 visitors, 44% came from Asia outside Hong Kong, 40% from Hong Kong, 7.7% from Europe, 3.3% from North America, 2.1% from Latin America, 1.4% from the Middle East, 1% from Australia and the Pacific Islands, and 0.5% from Africa.The HKTDC will host several related fairs later in April, giving further reason to visit. The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) on 6-9 April.
