HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair

WHAT: Under the theme “Reading the World, Love at First Book,” the fair will feature such zones as the General Books Pavilion, International Cultural Village and Chinese Mainland Publishers.
WHEN: 15-21 July 2015
WHO: More than 580 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions will take part in this year’s event. Last year’s fair saw a record-breaking attendance of more than a million visitors, making it one of the city’s top destination events, and a favourite summertime attraction for families and students.
WHY: Some 350 cultural events will be held during the week-long event, including the Open Public Forum, moderated by Sir David Tang, featuring Swiss writer Alain de Botton, British historian and novelist Simon Sebag Montefiore, and biographer-journalist Carol Thatcher.
Nigerian-born poet and novelist Ben Okri, winner of the Booker Prize for Fiction for his 1991 novel The Famished Road, will also speak at the Book Fair, along with renowned children’s author Keith Gray.
The Copyright Exchange Lounge is an ideal venue for exhibitors, publishers and literary agents to talk business. Exhibitors can display their publications in the lounge and reserve a meeting room for discussions with potential buyers.
