Consumer goods makers in Hong Kong are eager to expand into the massive Mainland China market.

Co-organised by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), InnoEX and HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) drew some 88,000 buyers from 139 countries and regions, accentuating Hong Kong’s advantages as an international innovation and technology centre.

Organised under the theme Bright Lighting • Smart Living, Smart Lighting Expo and Spring Lighting Fair attracted over 1,300 exhibitors and featured a diverse array of innovative lighting products and technologies ranging from sustainable and human-centric lighting to fashionable lighting products.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) visited Dublin last month to better understand the business environment in Ireland, explore cooperation opportunities and promote Hong Kong’s unique advantages.

Exporters sending goods by water or land to EU countries need to overhaul their paperwork, as the bloc’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2) comes into effect for all arriving goods from 3 June onwards.
