Guangzhou Looks to Upgrade Local Cross-Border E-Commerce Resources
05 June 2018
Guangzhou has adopted a number of measures intended to bolster the transformation and upgrading of its traditional foreign trade. Outlined in the recently-issued Several Measures for Accelerating the Development of Cross-Border E-Commerce in Guangzhou (Trial Implementation), the measures include integrating cross-border e-commerce platforms, enhancing local logistics networks, updating payment facilities, establishing bonded warehouses, and boosting overall professional service capabilities.
In other moves, the viability of establishing a Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau Cross-Border E-Commerce Co-operation Park in Nansha is to be determined. At the same time, consideration is to be given to establishing a cross-border e-commerce import hub for fresh and live food and cold chain products on a pilot basis at Baiyun Airport, the Nansha Bonded Port Area and the Guangzhou Bonded Area.
