04 August 2017
A one-stop business registration and banking service has been introduced for Hong Kong investors looking to launch a business in Guangdong. This new service – The Commercial Registration Bank-Government Express Service (CRBGES) – has been launched by the Guangdong Province Administration for Industry and Commerce, in conjunction with the Bank of China (HK) and the Bank of China Guangdong Branch and is intended to simplify business procedures across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area.
In order to access the service, investors may submit their application for registration of Hong Kong-invested company in Guangdong and for banking service through Bank of China (HK) and entrust the bank to handle their business registration and bank account opening procedures. The industry and commerce administration department and Bank of China will jointly issue an electronic business licence with financial functions free of charge. A company can get both government and financial services with one licence.
According to a statement issued by the Guangdong Province Administration for Industry and Commerce, the CRBGES service will initially be piloted in Dongguan, Foshan (including Shunde), Huizhou , Jiangmen, Shantou and Zhongshan. Greater efforts will then be made to promote the service and other co-operation and innovation endeavours to help boost the development of the Bay Area.
