Mexico Begins AD Investigation on Metallic Plastic Balloons
Mexico’s Ministry of Economy has initiated an antidumping duty investigation of metallic plastic balloons classified under HTSMX 9503.0023 and 9505.9099 from mainland China. Certain importers, exporters and the mainland Chinese government will have 23 working days counted five days from the date the applicable notice of investigation is sent to them to submit the official form for this investigation and any arguments thereof. All other interested parties may submit the official form for this investigation no later than 23 working days from 1 July.
Peru Rescinds AD Duty Order on Steel Tube
Peru has rescinded based on a court decision its AD duty order on certain hot-rolled welded steel tube classified under HTSPE 7306.30.9900, 7306.61.0000 and 7306.90.0000 from mainland China. The court determined that the original investigation did not comply with all applicable requirements.
Peru Renews AD Duty Order on Steel Cutlery
Peruvian authorities have renewed for a period of five years the AD duty order on stainless steel cutlery of a thickness no greater than 1.25 mm classified under HTSPE 8215.20.0000, 8215.91.0000, 8215.10.0000 and 8215.99.0000 from mainland China. As a result, imports of subject merchandise with an FOB value of US$18.40 per kilogramme or lower will face an AD duty of US$1.64 per kilogramme.
Colombia Renews AD duty Order on Steel Casing and Tubing Renewed
Colombia has renewed for an additional three years its AD duty order on stainless steel casing and tubing classified under HTSCO 7304.29.0000 from mainland China. Subject merchandise will face a 15 percent AD measure during this period.
Peru Confirms Results of AD Sunset Review of Poplin Fabrics
A Peruvian court recently upheld the validity of a February 2016 final determination that renewed for a period of 18 months the AD duty order on certain mainland Chinese polyester/cotton poplin fabrics classified under HTSPE 5407.81.0000, 5407.82.0000, 5512.11.0000, 5512.19.0000, 5513.11.0000, 5513.21.0000, 5514.11.0000 and 5514.21.0000.
Brazil Issues Results of Anti-Circumvention Probe of Ball-Point Pens
Brazilian authorities recently issued a final determination in an anti-circumvention probe of the AD duty order on mainland Chinese ball-point pens classified under NCM 9608.10.00. MDIC has determined that import licences should not be issued to imports of subject pens claiming to be produced in Malaysia by Vito Industries.
