hktdc.com & Hongkong Post Joint Promotion
HKTDC launches joint initiative to help traders explore new markets.
16 January 2017
WHAT: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has partnered with Hongkong Post to launch a joint promotion for the hktdc.com Small Orders online transaction platform.
To cater to surging demand for e-commerce, the HKTDC and Hongkong Post are strengthening their collaboration by offering postage rebates to suppliers selling via hktdc.com Small Orders (http://smallorders.hktdc.com) and shipping the products using the Speedpost service.
WHEN: 5 December 2016
WHO: HKTDC Director of Publications & E-commerce Loretta Wan and Estella Chow, Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development), Hongkong Post, officiated at a launch ceremony for the initiative.
WHY: The offer aims to help SMEs lower operating costs and enable them to seize new opportunities.
hktdc.com Small Orders is part of the HKTDC’s online marketplace (hktdc.com), which features more than 130,000 quality suppliers and 1.6 million registered buyers, who can make customised sourcing enquiries via the website.
To encourage more buyers to order online, the HKTDC periodically launches special themes and discounts and stages promotions at trade fairs in Hong Kong and around the world. The online transaction platform is also extensively promoted to international B2B buyers through the HKTDC’s global network of 46 offices.
HOW: From 1 December 2016 onwards, suppliers who receive overseas orders via hktdc.com Small Orders and ship the products using their Speedpost accounts can enjoy a postage rebate of a specific amount. The rebate will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis until the total amount of sponsorship is exhausted.
